4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art announces Mikala Tai as new director

4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, Sydney have announced that Mikala Tai has been appointed as its new director. Tai will take up the post in September 2015, succeeding to director Aaron Seeto who is taking up the role of Curatorial Manager, Asian and Pacific Art at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane.

Specialising in Australian design and contemporary Asian art, Tai is currently a sessional lecturer and tutor at RMIT University and the University of Melbourne and recently submitted her doctorate at the University of New South Wales Art & Design where she researched the social and economic influences of global cities on the development of China’s arts infrastructure.
