Athens Biennale’s co-director and founding member Xenia Kalpaktsoglou and programme manager Massimiliano Mollona have resigned from their positions, Artnet reports. Midway through the fifth edition of the biennial, titled OMONOIA, the two senior organisers had announced their decision to leave without explanation. A statement from the press team said that Kalpaktsoglou’s abrupt exit was an end to ‘a decade of fruitful and creative collaboration’. It has been confirmed that Polydoros Karyofyllis will assume the position of director.
