Koons’s show at the Louvre cancelled due to 'lack of funding'

After exhibiting at Versailles in 2008, and his ongoing major retrospective at the Centre Pompidou (running through 27 April), Jeff Koons had also planned another major show at the Louvre. Scheduled to open in January 2015, the show was to feature a selection of his large-scale balloon sculptures in the museum’s 19th century galleries, but had to be cancelled due to ‘lack of funding’, The Art Newspaper reports.
