New York’s China Institute announces new venue

The China Institute in New York has announced it will be moving from its current location in the Upper East Side to a new space designed by Pei Partnership Architects in Lower Manhattan, 100 Washington Street, Artforum reports. The $36 million project will give it 50,000 square feet — five times its current size – including a 3,000-square-foot gallery, library, classrooms and offices, scheduled to open in Spring 2016 with Art of the Mountain: Through the Chinese Photographer’s Lens
