Jochen Volz to curate 2016 São Paulo Bienal

Jochen Volz has been announced as curator of the 32nd São Paulo Bienal, taking place in 2016. The German art historian is currently the head of programmes at the \nSerpentine Galleries in London and curator at Inhotim in Minas Gerais, \nafter having served as the artistic director of the same institution \nfrom 2005 to 2012. In 2006, on invitation from Lisette Lagnado, he participated in the curatorship of the 27th Bienal de São Paulo, where he realised a special project in homage to Marcel Broodthaers. The current edition, curated by a curatorial collective led by Charles Esche, closed two weeks ago. You can read our review of it, orignally published in the December issue, here.
