Joanna Kamm is to step down from her position as artistic director of Liste Art Fair. Kamm leaves ‘following a longer period of illness to pursue other goals’, the fair announced today.
Kamm’s decision comes at a time of restructuring for Liste, after Reto Nussbaum took over as commercial director of fair management last October.
‘During her time the fair was relocated due to the pandemic. She was able to create an incomparable atmosphere at the new venue by means of extraordinary fair architecture and special art interventions. Moreover, by introducing two new digital formats and strong contacts, she reacted flexibly and swiftly to current challenges while continuing to develop Liste’s programme,’ Liste Basel Foundation President Urs Gloor said in a statement.
Liste’s co-founder and former director Peter Bläuer will take over as interim artistic director for this year’s edition. The full-time position will be advertised later this year.
Liste Art Fair, Basel runs 10–16 June 2024.
