ArtReview Asia and ShanghART Singapore present an afternoon of talk and performance with artist collective Birdhead (SONG Tao and JI Weiyu), coinciding with their exhibition Welcome to Birdhead World Again – Singapore 2016 at the gallery (through 26 February). Birdhead’s exhibition is the first in a series of Southeast Asia residencies made possible by ShanghART with the support of the National Arts Council and the Economic Development Board of Singapore. Birdhead’s residency started in July 2016, during which the Shanghai-based collective travelled through Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Singapore.
3–4.30pm Artist talk: Welcome Southeast Asia to Birdhead World
Birdhead and artist Robert Zhao Renhui in conversation with Shanghai-based curator of Asian art Biljana Ciric and collector Hallam Chow.

5–8pm Performance: Birdhead x Papacurry
A performance staged by Birdhead in collaboration with filmmaker-turned-chef Chayuti Janrakangtong (Papacurry) from Chiang Mai. Followed by an autograph session of complimentary commemorative prints from the artists’ travels.
