This 7th edition of ArtReview Live was all about ‘in-between’ cultures and the poetics of misunderstanding. Hong Kong based artist Leung Chi Wo presented excerpts of his video installation So I don’t really know sometimes if it’s because of culture, 2012, commissioned for the Marrakech Biennale, and which initiated from a series of conversations between the artist and two Moroccan women living in Hong Kong, one born in Morocco and the other born in France. The presentation was followed by an informal Q&A with ArtReview’s Helen Sumpter.
It was also the occasion to mark the publication of the artist’s book documenting the project, and the Spring/Summer issue of ArtReview‘s sister publication ArtReview Asia, as well as to enjoy themed cocktails designed by Absolut.
