Parkett announces hundredth issue will be its last

Parkett has announced is will cease publishing after the next issue, it’s hundredth edition. Editors Bice Curiger, Jacqueline Burckhardt and Dieter von Graffenried note that ‘one of the major factors behind this decision is the radical change in reading behavior brought about by our digital age.’ The biannual journal’s archive is currently being digitised and will be published on its website. Its editors will continue to curate exhibitions under the Parkett name.

Parkett has been published in English and German since 1984. In the autumn of last year Frieze announced that is was shutting its Frieze D/E title after 25 issues.
